Aloha Pos Tips and tricks

Today im gonna post some tips and tricks for Aloha Pos,

- After installation and setting dont forget to configure the report before anyone using it, if not it will not show the report ( Pmix, sales etc etc )
- How to bypass Password Aloha's :
  1. Launch Aloha Manager.
  2. Go to Login - (before type anything) press Alt-X.
  3. 4 sets of numbers will appear.
  4. Use whatever username you want ( im using "admin" ).
  5. Start with every the last digit of the number at the Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left and Bottom Right and typing this 4 character password.
  6. and type 1=q, 2=w, 3=e,4=r,5=t,6=y,7=u,8=i,9=o,0=p
  7. example : i got 5941 then the password is torq
- How to manage standalone mode Front House :
  1. When it display 'Make FileServer'
  2. Press it, and it will show the two sets of number at the bottom of the screen
  3. Sum them and input it in as the password
- How to setting printer from windows driver
  1. Install driver printer for windows
  2. Setting the printer and choose windows driver from what port you use for the printer
  3. and refresh
- How to make a new item and showing in the menus
  1. Go to Aloha Manager
  2. Go to Maintenance - Menus
  3. Go to Item ( input the new item that means code, name, price, tax, printings, modifier and others details.
  4. Go to Categories ( configure categories for this item )
  5. Go to Submenus ( configure submenus for this item )
  6. Last go to Menus ( configure menus for this item to show in the menus )
- If you cant solve a serious problem and your head gonna explode, do this
  1. Aloha Manager - Utilities - Create Diagnostic files, > then zip the contents of the diag folder
  2. and send it to Aloha Support in US

  2. I am having a problem with posting tips through our interface system, the main charge goes through and then when we go to add tips it says "Response not received from EDC/PMS program" What does this mean?

    1. Putting this out there so someone in the future will find this answer. It means there is literally a missing, broken or loose physical connection somewhere between Aloha (POS) and the PMS system. Look for bad or loose wiring, couplers, gender changers, NIC cards, interface services to be stopped/restarted, and so on.
