Learning new Feature #2 of Window 2003 Server
Distribute File System or DFS, its a system for replicating sharing files between server or between folder.
Heres the concept is a temp folder for sharing copy between folder01 , confuse huh ?
Let me show how then you will understand ( probably ), here we are ...
- Choose Distribute File System from Administrator Tools button and Next
- Create New Domain DFS Root and choose your domain
- Create New DFS Root, and Next ( but b4 that share some folder , sample C:\DFSRoot, if you have 2 server, create both with the same name )
This one is for temp folder, cannot be open to see what inside and create by system
- And your done...but keep reading
- Now you must create a Link DFS, right click on domain DFS, and choose New Link
- Insert Link Name [ART], and Path to Target [//SRV01/folder01]
Comment , Time Value are optional
- If you have two servers host identical information then
Add New Target, Path to Target [//SRV02/folder01]
- And Last thing enabling replication by running Configuration Replication
Choose Master Target [//SRV01/folder01] next ...
Topology [Optional but i choose Ring] and Finish
Now how to use it just run CMD and type net use R: \\Domain.com\ART and dir R:
if there ain't error
You just create your first DFS Root and Link...well done [ i'm just enjoying my self and dont bother me now ]

Learn VSS ( Volume Shadow Copy Service ):
This how to activate VSS - first install shadowcopy from microsoft
second, try to shared a drive on your HD
third, on the client side, install twclient (u can get the file from the server side)
fourth, the last thing try to change a file on the drive you shared, and goto the client side, right click properties and choose previous version...and alakazam there you have the previous file you update and you can choose which file you want to restore.

in the morning i got my server shutdown, bcoz of the power from the central was shutdown. i got panicked a little, but i turn on the server and update the service of the server ( update microsoft if u know what i mean ), after the server uptodate, i enabling the RAS VPN ( this one is annoying bcoz i need to enabling and disabling few times until its up by them self ) but after that, all things was running smoothly.

i hate the vendor that repair our computer, bcoz their playing with us. 1 of the computer was restart all the time and becoz still guaranty from the vendor, we called them to check the computer and then they brough with them to their office.
After the send the computer back, they said the reason restarting all over bcoz the fan was disable from the bios to the user ( coz im not there ), well that stupid bcoz fan processor was controlled not from the bios but the cable the plug into the motherboard, now whose stupid to make a reason like that. i hate those L. Well atleast we call'em again bcoz the computer still other have the problem and i told them how stupid the reason...haaaahahah feel better now.

Install XP SP3 and ...
I just download SP3 for XP, and install them. After that i create an unattended CD of XP from SP2 to SP3.
Heres how i do it :
First : extract or copy the XP SP2 to a folder
Second : use the SP3 files and open Command Prompt and use this command : [WinUpdatefiles] /integrate:[path of XP u extract]
KBSP3.exe /integrate:E:\XP-CD
Third : after a message show that the integration succeded, create an iso with magiciso ( create a boot from the real XP cd ) and try with VMware.
Fouth : ...Done

Today i just replacing UPS for the servers. And must shutdown the server and start after the UPS is ready, and after that "again" the RRAS - VPn aren't running well.
So i configure again...
Step 1 : go to properties - IP - uncheck Enable IP Routing and Allow IP-based Remote - Apply - check Enable IP Routing and Allow IP-based Remote - Apply
Step 2 : Try to connect for 30 second if it suddenly cannot connect try repeat Step 1.
After the third try....it was running smoothly...
So i configure again...

confusing VPN RRAS problem
Today i'm having problem with my Vpn through RRAS, from 9:30 till 16:40 trying to configure'em.
First my problem was the vpn could not connected and want to redial.
I check the server, router and dsl, and the problem was on the dsl, so i unplug and plug again the dsl. The result i can ping the dns, but still no luck with the Vpn.
Next, i'm disabling the RRAS and enabling again. So i can reconfigure the RRAS, but no luck still couldnot connect the vpn.
and on my lots of attempt, still no luck. After i'm trying to change the ip range from 105 to 104 ( no luck either) and from 104 to 105 ... alakazam....its working....
So...now i confused, i dont know what happen but its working.....thank God...
I am wasting almost a day thinking and reconfigure this but still cannot figure what happen....

Today im gonna post some tips and tricks for Aloha Pos,
- After installation and setting dont forget to configure the report before anyone using it, if not it will not show the report ( Pmix, sales etc etc )
- How to bypass Password Aloha's :

- How to bypass Password Aloha's :
- Launch Aloha Manager.
- Go to Login - (before type anything) press Alt-X.
- 4 sets of numbers will appear.
- Use whatever username you want ( im using "admin" ).
- Start with every the last digit of the number at the Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left and Bottom Right and typing this 4 character password.
- and type 1=q, 2=w, 3=e,4=r,5=t,6=y,7=u,8=i,9=o,0=p
- example : i got 5941 then the password is torq
- When it display 'Make FileServer'
- Press it, and it will show the two sets of number at the bottom of the screen
- Sum them and input it in as the password
- Install driver printer for windows
- Setting the printer and choose windows driver from what port you use for the printer
- and refresh
- Go to Aloha Manager
- Go to Maintenance - Menus
- Go to Item ( input the new item that means code, name, price, tax, printings, modifier and others details.
- Go to Categories ( configure categories for this item )
- Go to Submenus ( configure submenus for this item )
- Last go to Menus ( configure menus for this item to show in the menus )
- Aloha Manager - Utilities - Create Diagnostic files, > then zip the contents of the diag folder
- and send it to Aloha Support in US

Lesson number 03 about Aloha Pos
Next subject are Promo and comps. Promos and comps are depend to categories, thats mean you'll have to configure the categories for the promos and comps before you configure the promo and the comps
First about the Promo, theres some category in the promo such as Coupon, Bogo, Combo, Quick combo and Check Reduction.
Coupon ( for free item or discounts with coupon )
Bogo ( Buy One Get One )
Combo ( a set of food with various price )
Check Reduction ( discounts )
So the theory are :
1. Make sure what kind of promo you gonna make ( names, food, start/end dates, prices )
2. set the categories for promos
3. make the promos
Example :
1. Discount pizza regular 20 %, disc 20 % Pizza R, start/end dates 01/05/2008-31/05/2008
2. make the categories under " pizza R 20" and include all Pizza Regular
3. Build "Check Reduction", choose the categories, and discount 20 in percent
4. Refresh and Done

So First about the installation...
- choose Advanced instead Setup from the cd's bcoz setup is for upgrade to new version of Aloha and advanced is for new installation ( dont forget to plug your dongle or it won't running)
- And then choose table services and next ( if not mistakes )
- And choose the data you want to use. Use from the sample or newdata.zip/bmp.zip data from before
- Then it will install till finish, well your done.
- Last thing, dont forget to insert your License number from the vendor that match with you dongle (SEC), well you can insert later after the installation

Ubuntu 8.10 Error
I'm using Ubuntu and today i got error :
E: problem parsing dependency recommend.
E: Error occurred while processing libgdl-1-0 (NewVersion1),
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/status,
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
I cant update my ubuntu or opening synaptic package manager and cannot run aptitude in terminal too.
And i got fix the problem by running this on the terminal :
dpkg --configure -a

How to Move Old HDD with OS to new PC
How to move an old HDD with OS ( Windows base ) to new PC
1. Start you pc with your old HDD
2. Open Device Manager and open IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
3. Extended and choose beside primary and secondary IDE Channel
4. Right click and update driver
5. select manually to Standard dual channel PCI IDE controller.
6. Reboot/Restart and shutdown
7. Put your old HDD to your new PC and congrats...its your old HDD with windows on ur new pc.
